May - June 1995

Thailand marked the final stop on our main tour of China. We arrived at Bangkok airport from Beijing without any accommodation arranged. Once we reached the terminal, we booked a hotel along with a floating market tour. In addition to exploring The Grand Palace, we took a day trip to Ayutthaya. After our time in Bangkok, we caught a flight to Chiang Mai, where we enjoyed some sightseeing in and around the city before taking another flight to Mae Hong Son. From there, we ventured upstream to visit the Karen tribe, widely known as the Long-neck tribe. Back in Chiang Mai, we rented a car for our last day to explore Chiang Rai and the area famously referred to as the Golden Triangle. Our journey concluded with a flight back to Bangkok and then home.
